The German Research Center for Artifical Intelligence – DFKIGmbH appears again at German AAL Congress 2011 in Berlin. This time, the fourth Congress takes place on 25 – 26 January as usual at the BCC Center close to Alexanderplatz in Berlin. The German AAL congress is a leading conference on innovation in the area of “assistance systems in the service of people” and gathers researchers, developers, manufacturers, users and representatives from government, industry and associations and. The DFKI is involved in presentations, posters and a exhibition showing different DFKI exhibits. Especially on “Health and Care”, DFKI presents the project PAMAP – digital fitness coach. Another theme is”Intelligent Living”. Here we present our projects VITAL– Internet-based services and applications for the elderly, openURC – OpenStandards for Ambient Assisted Living Technologies and Gesturecontrol with theWiiRemote for Home. In addition, we are part in the special event of the AAL Congress Senior Technical Day – “Give a Future age”. This is an event just for seniors, which is closer to modern technology, which allows you to live to old age safely and comfortably in their own homes.
